Although Frank Lloyd Wright championed the use of new building materials, he returned again and again to stone, brick, and unpainted wood. When he opened his interiors to the world, sometimes replacing entire walls with plate glass, the sun that swept in kissed wood floors and stone hearths like the old friends they were. The twelve Wright-designed buildings photographed for this calendar are the Millie and George Ablin House; the Queene and Avery Coonley Playhouse; the Susan Lawrence Dana House; the Bernardine and I. N. Hagan House, “Kentuck Knob”; the Katherine and Herbert Jacobs House I; the Liliane S. and Edgar J. Kaufmann House, “Fallingwater”; the Oak Park Home and Studio; the Lora H. and Frederick C. Robie House; the Myra and John Storer House; Taliesin; Taliesin West; and Unity Temple.
